MISSION
The Healing Rooms of Washington DC is a ministry that exists to serve the community and the whole Church. The Healing Rooms are staffed by trained volunteers who pray for the sick. We believe that in the presence of God there is power for the sick to be healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ because His Word says so. Healing and salvation are in the atonement. Isaiah 53:4-6.
That these verses refer to salvation and healing is clear in the affirmation of Matthew 8:16-17. "And when evening had come they brought to Him many who were demon possessed and He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were ill in order that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled saying, "He took our infirmities and carried away our diseases."
