THE HEALING WORD
Our covenant for healing.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs, sickness, weakness and distress, and carried our sorrows and pain. Yet we ignorantly considered Him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God.
Jesus is the one who heals us.
Matthew 8:16,17 When evening came they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons, and He drove out the spirits with a word and restored to health all who were sick; And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took our weakness and infirmities and bore away our diseases.
1 Peter 2:24 He personally bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin, and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
Exodus 15:26b ....for I am the Lord who heals you.
Our authority, His power.
Luke 10: 19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power that the enemy possesses and nothing shall in any way harm you.
Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Mark 16:17-18 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will get well.
Our faith for healing.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For whoever would come near to God must necessarily believe that God exists and that He is the Rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title-deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality -- faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.
James 5:15 The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Our confidence for healing.
Mark 11:24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe -- trust and be confident -- that it is granted to you and you will get it.
John 14:13-14 And I will do -- I Myself will grant -- whatever you ask in My name so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in the son. Yes, I will grant -- will do for you -- whatever you shall ask in My name.
How long can we live in health?
Psalms 90:10 As for the days of your life, they contain seventy years or if due to strength, eighty years.
Psalms 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
